Defogging Your Windshield

Foggy windows can be a hassle while driving. The fogging usually occurs due to the temperature and moisture differences between the inside and outside of the vehicle. The quickest way to reduce the fogging in your vehicle is to reduce the temperature inside your car so the moisture stops forming on the glass. You can also turn the defrost vent on or open your windows to get rid of the irritating fog on the inside of your windows.

By turning your defrost button to warm the moisture will evaporate. This may be the option for your during the cold winter months. However, in the summer it's time to do the opposite. Since the inside of your car will be cool, and it's hot outside, you will be battling with humidity. Using your windshield wipers to get rid of the fog is annoying, so instead, turn the AC down. Try to avoid wiping away the fog with your hands as this will leave visible streaks on the inside of your windshield.

Clean your windshield regularly. By keeping your windshield clean you will improve visibility, and decrease fogging issues.
