There are
several reasons that window tinting is a popular option for drivers.
It reduces heat, reduces glare and UV exposure as well as increases
security & privacy.
Heat Reduction –
Having tints on your car reduces the amount of thermal rays that
enter your vehicle. By blocking the wavelengths that create heat, the
tints filter prevents the interior from over heating. Each tint is
different in its heat rejection properties, always ask a professional
to discover which tint works best for you.
Glare and UV
Reduction - Glare that filters in through your rear and side windows
can be avoided with a tint on your windows. You may be stressing out
your eyes by trying to avoid the glare which can lead to eyestrain.
In some cases, sunburn can be an issue as well – having tinted
windows filters out 95% more UV light than regular window glass.
Security & Privacy - Even though window tints are not designed for security purposes, they do an extra layer of protection. More often cars get broken into because people on the outside are able to see the valuables on the inside. By having tints, the inside of your car will not be nearly as visible. If someone tries to break your window, it makes it more difficult when you have the tint. The glass will break but it will be held together in one piece.
